Here are syntheses for the last 6 unsynthesized 11-bit still-lifes: the first from a soup, and the rest by brute force. These introduce a few new converters, which should make creating arbitrary-length snakes, canoes, shillelaghs, cis-shillelaghs, etc. trivial (although expensive).

Excellent! On 2020-07-21, I brute-forced a 16-glider synthesis of this by creating two blinkers the easy way, and then edge-shooting the other two blinkers the hard way (which Hunting by 1 improved on

I just found this 4-glider converter that changes a ship into a carrier. This can be used to create objects with tied carriers, and pseudo-objects with inducted cis- or trans- carriers. (Unfortunately, attempts to create a similar converter to turn anything into a snake have so far been unsuccesful.)
