Synthesis for xp2_g8gid96z1221. First, I checked soups for it on Catagolue. I found a r+2 block-->target+2 block method. Then, I checked r-pentomino syntheses on Lifewiki to see if they work in this rule. I found one. Then, I checked block syntheses on Lifewiki to see if they work here(I was too lasy to find one). Finally, I assembled the synthesis(which was hard for me because this is my first glider synthesis.

Isolated the reaction from a bit earlier: B-heptomino plus two blocks (the nearer one is tricky to place because the only two-glider B-heptomino synthesis gives very little time to place the block). A 16-glider synthesis is certainly possible.

Edit: Perhaps the T-tetrominoes and honey farm can be constructed with far fewer gliders, from glider-blinker collisions. The loaf seems to requires 3 gliders though.

It's called ørb. It's notable for being much more common in HighLife than regular Life.

It looks extensible but isn't because the supporting domino sparks can't be placed.
The first one was 35x35 but a 13x25 appeared from a teeny bit of rlifesrc. The silliest thing about rlifesrc is that it claims that there is no more results and there is one. Fortunately, the spaceship rlifesrc spewed out was actually two spaceships so I picked the smallest one to post.

A glider can be pushed out and reflected using a slow salvo that consists of several parts each of which is a p2 or p1 slow salvo; then Conway's original proof probably works? We can make salvos using the glider + MWSS collision that reflects and pulls a glider inward. That one can also be used for other things since without the glider it leaves nothing.
