These are great. I wonder if there's a way to cut off the wave in the middle so it doesn't grow, which would allow us to build spaceships with arbitrary wing length.

My own search at 2c/6 mentioned earlier only went as far as widths of 27 and 28 with bilateral symmetry. I'm still running the other searches at c/6 and c/7.

Because it doesn't replicate by itself, it needs support to work. An OTCA Metapixel in B3/S23 can simulate any replica tor in any outer-totalistic rule. However, B3/S23 was described as having no known replicators for years after the Metapixel was created. Anchor tracks is just as much as a single on cell in Replicator rule being simulated by the OTCA Metapixel.

Yes, anchor tracks don't qualify as replicators in the normal sense, because they don't operate in empty space.

Similar to the moon eater, a moon can pull a pair of checkers in the right phase, but they are moved 4 cells in place of 2. This means p4 back rakes which move at c can be converted into spaceships, e.g.

Yes, that reaction should definitely be on the wiki. It's in the pattern collection in Reactions.rle, but I never named it as a 'trailer', which is definitely where it's most useful.

I'll accept suggestions for a name for that trailer, and simsim314 is opening the floor to suggestions for the name of the c/3 spaceship. I'd like to catalogue the tagalong for that ship separately, so I'll also take name suggestions for that.

I previously discovered how to replace either of the dots in the one-time reflector, and the only known oscillator with the right configuration to work for the other dot is the Monster:

Here's a simple rule that exhibits the same behavior as anchor tracks, where four generations in Live Free or Die correspond to one in AnchorTracks. State 1 represents an empty slot in the track, and state 2 represents a filled slot (with the anchor pointing left.) I haven't paid any attention to patterns other than isolated horizontal lines of cells.
