Found this in a seemingly uninteresting rule:

Code: Select all

x = 7, y = 7, rule = B2ci3-nqry6i/S23
b3o$o2bo$b3o$4b3o$4bobo$4bobo$5bo!
And this rule, a very interesting c/5 diagonal and a knightship!

Code: Select all

x = 16, y = 7, rule = B2i3acijk6i/S23-a4
b2o11b2o$bo10b2obo$2o9b2o2bo$bo9bo2bo$2ob2o7bob2o$b3o6b3o$2bo7b2o!

Also, the B8 isn't necessary. It works just as well in B2567/S123456.

What's necessary is that certain birth rules don't exist.

Code: Select all

x = 81, y = 96, rule = LifeHistory

So B25678 is the maximum birth requirement, not the minimum?

Apgsearching the rule B36c8/S23. Can anybody made a 2 engine (or more, preferrably two engine though) spaceship out of this?:

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 4, rule = B36c8/S23
bo$2bo$2obo$b3o!
Unfortunately the pi glider in this rule moves slightly faster than it:

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 34, rule = B36c8/S23
2o$bo$bo$o27$bo$2bo$2obo$b3o!
So that can't be used.

In a related rule, it makes a pseudo heisenburp ship (the rule's explosive, though.):

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 4, rule = B36c8/S236e
bo$2bo$2obo$b3o!

You thought it would be harder than this?

Code: Select all

NOTE: not actually a phase of the spaceship, evolves into one though.
