Go to the SCP Foundation http://www.scp-wiki.net/ and write an SCP for them based on a life pattern.

New ideas: SCP-CGoL-691 Anomalous Ruletable
SCP-CGoL-127 0E0P Metacell (Edit: changed from 106 to 127 because at the time of writing, the SCP-8127 slot is open and it could go there)

Code: Select all

x = 192, y = 53, rule = B3/S23

scp cgol 691 is a .[][]le file (commonly used by applications such as g[][][][] and other [][][][] viewers to transcribe custom rules.)
class: euclid
containment procedures: zoom level on the customized g[][][][] fork to view scp cgol 691 is not to be set above 10^[]7 without level 5 approval. subjects who exceed this are to be terminated immediately. copies of the .[][]le file are not to be distributed outside site-rct-15 under any circumstances.
description: scp cgol 691 is a file containing a set of rules for generating a [][][][] of unprecedented (wolfram class of approximately 7.[][][]) complexity. the file is about [][][] megabytes in size. despite the incredible size, cgol 691 runs smoothly at a constant 10^[]4 frames per second on any [][][][] viewer program, even ones that do not support .[][]le files (the reason for this is unknown and yet to be experimented upon.) modification of the [][]le table appears to have no effects [LEVEL >4 ONLY: this is no longer the case. we have found the effects. it's not good. we didn't realize until too late, but the undo button doesn't work on cgol 691. what have we wrought.].
scp cgol 691 was initially discovered due to a post on [][][][][][][][][][].com forums on october [][], 2017 by forum user [][][] (now deleted by scp personnel, a copy is available with permission from level 3 or above.) the anomaly was discovered by agent [][][][][]er after [EXPUNGED] to the fine-structure constant, resulting in [EXPUNGED]. antimemetics of class-A were administered to [][][] users of the forums, along with [][],[][][],[][][] people who noted the effects (see addendum A: rise in Alzheimer's (SCP 10372) for more information on the lasting effects of this.) cgol 691 was then taken in for study.
LEVEL 4 CLASSIFIED:
Experiment 001: D-1941 is asked to zoom out and describe what he sees.
Zoom level: 10^58
D-1941: It's some sort of, uh, orbit simulator? I don't understand?
Zoom level: 10^51
D-1941: Oh! Is this a spy satellite?
Zoom level: 10^44
D-1941: I don't get it. Is this, like, a really good camera?
Zoom level: 10^41
D-1941: Hey, that's me! How? What are you doing?
Researcher [][][]per then draws a line of state-[][] cells over the image of D-1941 on the screen.
Within several seconds, D-1941 [EXPUNGED] requiring decontamination of site rct-15 over the course of several weeks, with [][][] casualties, including researcher [][][]per.
Incident 001:
D-2136 is asked to edit the .[][]le file how he wishes
D-2136: uh i guess i will remove this line. and maybe change this number.
No immediate effects are noted.
Over the next 3 months, significant and persistent changes in brain biochemistry resulting in increased levels of neurotransmitters [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] are noted across all mammals. This leads to an overall increase in fear and self-preservation instincts across humanity.
The effects of this are theorized to be the cause of [REDACTED]'s victory in the [REDACTED] election when he would otherwise have lost.
Further research into SCP-cgol-691 has been terminated.

Someone please post this onto the SCP-8691 slot after it gets cleaned up first.
