Is there a similar project for minimal matches? (similar to this except supporting cells can touch the base)
The
bs123 census contains everything needed.
(what's going on with catagolue? with url tags chrome screams at me that it's not secure but with catagolue tags it happily swallows the certificate
don't login with the link above it's http the others are https)
Ian07's project for islands can be found
here.
A table on the wiki will be coming shortly.
xs3_13:
xs4_33
Code: Select all
x = 2, y = 2, rule = LifeHistory
2C$CA!
xs4_27:
xs15_3h4e1e8z011
xs4_36:
xs10_drz32
Code: Select all
x = 15, y = 7, rule = LifeHistory
13.2A$2A2.A9.A$A2.C.A7.C$2.2C.A7.2C$3.C.2A7.C$.A11.A$.2A10.2A!
xs5_I'm not doing any more because it's half past midnight and I have class at 9:30 "tomorrow" this morning

Improvement to
xs4_27 (
xs13_j5c4goz11):
Code: Select all
x = 6, y = 6, rule = LifeHistory
2A2.2A$A2.C.A$2.2C$3.C$.A$.2A!
Also, the bs23 census is
not all that is needed because you can have things like this (right?)
Code: Select all
x = 33, y = 9, rule = LifeHistory
23.C$13.C4.C.C3.C4.2C$C5.2C4.C6.C5.C5.C3$24.2A4.2C$CA4.2C5.C5.A3.C2.A
2.A2.C$2A4.A.A3.C.A3.C.C3.C.A3.2A$7.A5.A5.C5.C!

Why do we need bs23 census? Actually important is the bs123 (or whatever) only, since it's perfectly possible to have cells with one neighbour.

fixed.
EDIT:
User:Bubblegum/Patterns/SSLWSM now contains the table!
this script to generate the parts:
Code: Select all
from urllib.request import *
rule = "bs123"
sym = "C1"
type = "xs4"
q = []
u = urlopen("https://catagolue.appspot.com/textcensus/{}/{}/{}".format(rule, sym, type)).read()
for i in u.splitlines()[1:]:
i = i.split(",")[0].strip("\"")
q.append(i)
print(sorted(q))
(python 3.x, i'm too stupid to learn python 2.x
change type to adjust cell count
Each day is a hidden opportunity, a frozen waterfall that's waiting to be realised, and one that I'll probably be ignoring
