Pulsars are my favorite oscillator !

The Pulsar seems to be in a "Sweet Spot" in the CGol Universe...

It is the BIGGEST sizewise, of the "common" oscillators, and not rare, but also uncommon enough to be a surprise when they occur "naturally" !

do not want to re-invent the wheel; in fact, both Golly and ConwayLife.com are both listed as

"indispensable resources" prominently featured on the Links Page -

I suggested the idea of the "TriloBhyte TarBall" as an Ultimate Archive of Everything;

but that leads to exactly the difficulty of the situation : even with such a small-ish community extant,

the sheer amount of development being done as well as new patterns being created is leading up to

this becoming a full-time proposition for whoever would take on the job/responsibility of Curator -

especially if it is to be done well, with all attributions, comments, tool-kit tutorials and just general

"what is this stuff and how does one get it all to work?' explanatory instruction. Someone posted that

he was going to have the Ultimate Pattern Collection of EVERYTHING - but acknowledged it was Impossible

right there in his very same post ! in the very same sentence even, I think...

I realize that there are several levels of CGoL Enthusiast - but I mainly want to promote CGoL

to folks who have never heard of it before, and those just starting out; hence the video focus.

I do not have the spare time to be the "CGoL Pattern Meister" but I will do what I can; I feel that C10

Construction and Engineering is leading to a lot of exciting new development styles and possibilities !

I will carefully comb thru the thread, extract and organize everything, and when I think it is done,

we will entertain Questions, Comments, Criticisms, Additions, Peer Review, Etc.

If anyone wants to Help/Participate, just let me know what you plan on doing; I would encourage and assist !

I remember when I was in eighth grade - High School next year and I am finally a teenager !

And in eighth grade we finally have physics. In China physics is added in the 8th grade and chemistry in the 9th grade.

I also had to wait - three more years - for Physics

but someone had donated everything needed to

build a gas laser - and I made a lightwave telephone

in grade school ( my stepfather helped bigtime

with semiconductors - also taught me how to repair

automobiles ). I was reading and studying because it was

my project if I wanted it. I declined because I did not

feel capable and being just a bit off would make it

all GARBAGE. Better to save it for a more capable

man. Our Physics Instructor worked part-time

during summer as a MillWright. My stepfather was also a MillWright.

I eventually went through apprenticeship and became

a Journeyman MillWright. I was learning

Westinghouse Nuclear Power Plant Steam Turbine

( no rads - very clean - but we all wore film badges ).

I eventually worked at FermiLab helping a defective

Polish Physicist build a Heavy Particle Detector.

After that I re-invented myself.

I am re-inventing myself again right now for the fourth or fifth time -

it's fun !

especially wonder cms is very easy - but they are changing it - that why best you do not upgrade

if you are happy with your wonder cms leap life portal website - and especially the biking theme

then it best I put it at all three - so you have a uniform "look and feel" throughout the portal

you have a links page on the main site or whatever that takes visitors to the other places...

that would be a great use for the "about" sidebar that appears on every page -

tell visitors about the Catalog, and give them a link

tell them about the Leap Life News, and give them a link, etc.

I think you have a dedicated About Page to tell about LeapLifePortal
