In LifeWiki, exactly how does one decide which wording to use in any given case, depending on the details of the relationship between the object/pattern/reaction/discovery X and the object/pattern/reaction/discovery Y? How this depends on the involved ideas, attributions, timing, possible distinctions between similar-but-distinct objects/patterns/reactions/discoveries, and so on?
This discussion thread is meant to provide a place where the currently active members could discuss the above questions.
It should be understood that the questions are specifically about documenting knowledge in LifeWiki (as opposed to conversations on the ConwayLife.com forums). The same holds for other topics in the "LifeWiki discussion" subforum.
It should be understood that the topic (just like many other discussion topics) is persistent, so people can chime in at any time in the future if they wish. At any time, the set of currently active members is significantly smaller than the set of all people registered on the website (which is in turn significantly smaller than the Life/CA community), implying that the currently active members cannot speak for the entire community.
