Very nice! I was look forward to a more compact p64 gun, and this one is might be what I was looking for. It seems there is a hershell output too, but annoyingly there is a eater in the way of a common eater in the h-to-X conduits... still one can convert this to a "p128" hershell producer, but I think I managed to find a comparably large way to do this before, but still it might be a better alternative:
Code: Select all
x = 108, y = 58, rule = LifeHistory

This is also a alternative way to get that period doubling, might be slightly smaller too:
Code: Select all

Kinda interesting that one can flip the phase of the gun by suppressing the hershell its glider with an incoming glider. Or even switch the state to a p64 instead by simply introducing a block:
Code: Select all
x = 50, y = 54, rule = LifeHistory
