My idea was to catalyse the top and hope that the propagation happens fast enough.
This snake doesn't last long, but definitely an idea.

Code: Select all

x = 36, y = 34, rule = B3/S23

Or, try to restore block

This is a more useful output:

Among those manual experiments, that third one (with a sacrificial block) is something I didn't consider. This almost works, but the extra debris sent north becomes a problem:

Some of the rejects from my searching: top row might be connectable with some clever welding or catalyst replacements, but the bottom row is probably a lost cause.

Welds works for the top right, but the other has to deal with a spark that collides with an eater close to the b output, so the usual b-to-h wont work there

That HF91B can be used as an incomplete F111 (HF111H) followed by a dependent H-to-X creating a glider SW10T108 which is bounced to delete the leftover block

Can anyone help complete this partial HR(x)74B conduit? The topmost block turns into a tail, but none of the replacement catalysts for that situation work. Alternatively, is there a way to turn that beehive back to a block with a stable catalyst? (Shown with BFx59H)

Code: Select all
