Does anyone know if this is a known puffer?
I may have just discovered a new puffer, but I don't know if someone else has already discovered it. I figure that it is probably good to know whether or not this is already known before I start saying that I discovered a puffer, and planning a name for it. I would have attached the code for it, but I found it by messing up one of the infinite hotels (i think it was infinite hotel 1), and there were lots of other blocks on the board, so I just took a screen shot.

It leaves the blocks behind, and moves diagonally.

Yes. Even just going to the wiki or jslife, you might just find Washing machine and Eater plug.
Also, that oscillator is like a combination of those two, so it is absolutely known and absolutely useless.

A glider fired at a forming traffic light can shift the traffic light.
This leads to a p60 oscillator: two glider guns hassling a traffic light.
It's probably already known, though.

What's the procedure for submitting syntheses to Catagolue? I occasionally find ones in my collection that are slightly cheaper than the ones Catagolue shows.

Go to Catagolue's syntheses page, scroll to the bottom, enter the RLE for the synthesis in the box, then press submit.
Edit: Synchronizing two syntheses yields a 44-bit still life.
