FYI, some of the synthesis steps you posted are invalid, because if you try to rewind them the gliders cross paths either with each other or with other objects. Luckily in this case they're all fixable just by synthesizing things in a different order, and I've already submitted the fixed versions to Catagolue. For example, here's a fixed version of synthesis #4 where I made the block at the same time as everything else so that the gliders can all be rewound indefinitely:

To use it, clone the Shinjuku repository, and place this file into its main directory. Import the "contrsynth" function from this file, and input the RLE as the first parameter. Note that the RLE must be surrounded by square brackets to make it a list because this file is originally designed to receive a list of RLEs instead of a single one. Secondly, import lifelib and run the lifelib setup code, and plug the lifetree variable (lt) into this function.

Note that if you supply multiple RLEs into the function, it will return True if any of them is valid because it just checks whether the contrib_lines variable, which stores valid syntheses, is empty. If you want to check multiple syntheses at once, consider modifying this function to obtain a list of such values instead of just one.

It returns a boolean value. True means that the synthesis is valid, while False means that it is not. I usually run this piece of code to see if each of my synthesis steps are valid before posting my syntheses and submitting it to Catagolue, and I also run this script when scanning Glider_stdin symmetries to prevent invalid syntheses from being reported.

1) checks whether a glider synthesis is valid (infinitely rewind-able), and
2) predicts how the pattern (possibly dilute, with large spaces) will be interpreted and divided to multiple syntheses?
