It has the same color and G-to-H angle as the syringe, so I'm not sure how much use it will get compared to the syringe itself, but it's definitely something.

Well I think this thing will need a name. I might not be easily constructed, but it allows things that were not possible before. Duplicating a 64p stream of gliders or merging 2 such streams was not possible witout driving the interaction with bulky periodic guns (only possible for period 70+ or 78+), now it is managed with a simple conduit:

Interesting. This allows for a new 2-glider Herschel injector that works at periods as low as 55:

However, we already have 2-glider Herschel injector that works at periods as low as 52, so I'm not sure this new one will be useful for anything.

A glider reflector in the truest sense...
This allows for the completion of the old incomplete Lx134, in a way that meets gmc_nxtman's criteria for Herschel conduits. Repeat time is 168+8N, depending on how far away the reflector needs to be moved to allow a following conduit to fit:

EDIT: patched up according to comment below --

Code: Select all

x = 37, y = 62, rule = LifeHistory

This allows for the completion of the old incomplete Lx134, in a way that meets gmc_nxtman's criteria for Herschel conduits. Repeat time is 168+8N, depending on how far away the reflector needs to be moved to allow a following conduit to fit:

Unless you can find a conduit that converts the output to another (recognized) output, that will not be considered an elementary conduit.

I've looked in census.rle for unidentified and can't find it. I don't think it's anywhere near common.
