Long barge: propane (C3H8)
Long long barge: butane (C4H10)
Come to think of it, naming the longness of patterns like these in a similar fashion to hydrocarbons might be interesting.
How about this?

That also works.
Now what could simulate:
- Isomers such as isobutane, isopentane and neopentane
- Alkenes
- Alkynes
- Benzene, toluene, limonene, other aromatics

All still-lifes and pseudo-still-lifes up to 24 bits, all period 2 oscillators and pseudo-oscillators up to 21 bits, and all period 3 oscillators and pseudo-oscillators up to 20 bits have been found and/or verified by exhaustive computer searches, so if you find anything new within those size constraints, it is certain to have been found before.
