J-Heptoplet

I recently found a Heptoplet that shows interesting behavior.

It can be modified by an fish hook to make a Pi:

Or a block (destroyed in process) to make four boats, all rotated differently.

Just as clarification, that is not a polyomino, as not all of the live cells are orthogonally connected. Also, it's standard to use the Greek hept- prefix rather than the Latin sept- when describing polyominoes (Pi heptomino, B heptomino, etc.). (Tetris = quadris?)
