Agar stabilization discussion

This topic is for the discussion of periodic agar stabilizations. A typical post would include a new agar that might be tamable, a new partial or complete stabilization of an agar, or discussion of methods for stabilizing agars.
Generally, agars that react loosely at the edges have the most potential for stabilization. "Reacting loosely at the edges" is not well defined, but it is sometimes clear when an agar is not tamable with current technology. An example of an agar that probably could not be tamed with current methods is the following p27 agar:
