I'm using Chrome right now (albeit on the mobile browser). The file is about as large as you described, but copying the path into Chrome makes it malfunction in the same way. I click on the play button and it immediately reappears as if I had never pressed it, with nothing playing in between.
Hm, not sure there's anything to be done about that immediately. There's some kind of incompatibility lurking somewhere, but it's not clear where. The file does seem to exist and is undamaged and playable (on some platforms). I have seen some buggy behavior in the playback sometimes, though, if I remember right -- strange color changes or compression artifacts when the window size is changed, or something like that.

Maybe it would help to upload a copy of the movie to YouTube, or something along those lines?

Does everyone else using the Chrome mobile browser see the same behavior for that movie link?

It starts playing fine for me, but there are playback issues, particularly around the 20s mark.

Chrome 79.0.3945.93, Android 8.1.0, Moto G5.

Chrome 79.0.3945.116, Android 9, Moto z3.

Why would an older version of Chrome not have this issue? It doesn't make sense.

My N years of working as a software test engineer make me want to say: it makes perfect sense to me!

If new versions of programs never introduced new bugs, there wouldn't be any bugs.

Well, that's annoying. At least it works on the standard version of Chrome, albeit with the playback issues wildmyron mentioned (though in my case they start showing up around the 50s mark).

That being said, my earlier query about schematics for individual sections of the metacell still remains. No rush, though.

I'm hoping to get back to that later this year -- just have a bit more to do on schematics for the pi and phi calculators first.

The metacell pieces that will need to be analyzed and labeled are over in the 0E0P Constructions thread. If anyone wants to help, just grab a metacell, make a LifeHistory pattern of one of the labeled pieces from the link, and start taking it apart and labeling it. That's basically all I'm planning on doing. It will get easier as the output lanes from one section line up with the input lanes in the next section.
