That's going to clear up a lot in Catagolue. Nice job!
A induction coil that stumped our automation:

Reduction to a preexisting string of components, small enough for Catagolue's box to recognize it as one transformation. Hopefully transfer.py can run off with it:

There are some still lifes characterized by tubs in a corner which, if they were eater heads, would be flush with an adjacent domino that prevents any of the usual eater-head-to-tub methods from working:
Code: Select all
x = 36, y = 29, rule = B3/S23

There would be an easy component to make those tubs, but I somehow got stuck on making this simple spark needed. Any ideas on forming it?

Wow! Nice find -- and a new spark searching script is quite a bombshell to drop here. Am I guessing right that you're using a hash function other than population to recognize sparks?

No. I dump some interesting glider collisons in a file using gencols and then track the "corner" of each reaction. Every time the corner increases by the necessary amount I just plonk the still life at the necessary location and test for the desired output after some small number of generations. I've been using something similar for years but thought it was about time to make it user friendly enough for wider consumption.
