I nominate Schick engine, which is so much like a real engine with periodic bursts of flame from its rear side.

I made a tier list of named patterns. So far I've completed it up to B and the only exceptional name that I found was Acorn.

I'll add it to the list. Let me know when you know the rest of the names that you'd like to nominate.

I disagree with your comment on Baker's Dozen. I nominate it.

6 bits is kind of a dumb name, yes. DRH-oscilators.rle labels it "glider shuttle III".
The amphisbaena is a double-headed serpent from Greek mythology (it looks more like an owl to me).
Aries betwixt two blocks is a lengthening of the longhorn (Aries) "betwixt" two blocks, which I can't give any more reason for the unusual verb out of that Apple Bottom named it. (I think.)
Baker's dozen is referencing the loaf being hassled and the period (12) with "baker's dozen" being a convenient phrase that unfortunately connotates 13 instead of 12.
Bent keys is bent in that it's more bent than the other keys.
Blinkers bit pole is a combination of blinkers, bit, and (barber)pole. D tier.
A buckaroo is a type of cowboy. Don't ask me why it's named after that.
Burloaferimeter#Etymology
IDK what by flops means.
