After reading posts in thread for basic questions, I do not agree - unless of course you can definitely prove that there is nothing interesting/useful to be found with this active region! It is not obvious how frequency of the active region is related to the number of conduits with it, and in the end the answer is not a probability anyway - either a conduit exists, or it does not.

It would be useful to have a systematic unambiguous way to refer to arbitrary unnamed active regions, instead of writing "unidentified".

I'd like to very strongly agree with this. As soon as someone finds another "unidentified" object that has valid X-to-unidentified and unidentified-to-Y conduits, and starts talking about that active region instead of this current one, the nightmare will be complete.

An apgcode representation of an active region makes for a relatively unambiguous identifier. There's still the problem sometimes of several possible predecessors converging on the same reaction, so generally the "canonical" pattern should be one that occurs as late as possible while still being easy to identify visually -- if possible. If something gets big and blobby before all of its variants converge, well, no big deal -- it's nothing we haven't dealt with before, e.g., with the common variants of the B-heptomino.

Anyway, the apgcode representation for this "unidentified" active region currently under discussion is "e9jp". So it should now no longer be called "unidentified" by anyone ever again, since it now has an identifier.

Another partial P7 HCM. The boat is bait that I use in place of a toad or similar catalyst when none are found. Also, due to clearance issues, replacing the meatball with a 34P7 does not work.
