A beacon can survive two dot sparks w/o being rephased:
Code: Select all
x = 10, y = 10, rule = B3/S23

I don't remember seeing that before, but it might possibly have slipped by. A proper collection of H-to-Gn glider-pair makers would come in handy now and again. By the time I found a good H-to-G10 that I'd been looking for for years, I couldn't remember what I needed it for...!
Speaking of not-necessarily-useful H-to-Gn converters, here's a composite H-to-G1 based on the above. Gave me an excuse to test a very-old-hat three-block reaction in the context of Herschel circuitry. Turns out it's a 14hd glider offsetter -- sort of an edge-shooter with a required reset:
Code: Select all
x = 96, y = 142, rule = B3/S23

Was really surprised recently to notice that those three blocks can be built by hitting a half-blockade with a single glider.

Weird pi+block reaction that produces two gliders:
Code: Select all
x = 4, y = 8, rule = B3/S23

It probably has some use, but I don't know what that use would be.
Edit: pi-to-two-glider converter that is probably already known; a variant of the pi-to-glider converter that I rediscovered a few days ago:

This p15 R -> LWSS unfortunately doesn't work with ny of the -> R conduits I am aware of....

It's also unfortunate that it doesn't work with any of the p2^n oscillators I tried to use, but that's not as great of an issue.

Nice find! I guess, it's new. Here is an interesting heisenburp: HWSS -> Herschel

I have a very strong feeling that I've seen it before, but I can't place where, and I can't find it in any of my files. If anyone had found it previously, I would bet it was either you or Paul Tooke.

I don't know if this has been found before, but a single block can prevent the block in

I don't know if these are in any sort of demand or anything, but my current interest led me to construct a p46 LWSS edge shooter that has better clearance than anything I could find. Not optimized, but functional.

Well, I think this is a step forward to a caterpillar/centipede/waterbear gun! The helix would be much easier to make, i think.
I came here to post this (28,9)c/79 crawler. I'm not quite used to engineering patterns, so I wasn't sure if this can be used.

Nothing special, p92 oscillator with 100% volatility:
Code: Select all
x = 41, y = 41, rule = B3/S23

Another thing to add to the collection, I believe!

Why is it unsure? it's pretty sure... and maybe it's not "super" special, but it's a nice discovery.
We need more of those "middle-low range" discoveries.

Because it's so easy to find, that it may have been found since 40 years ago and forgotten.

it's just a tiny 2c/6 reaction.
Code: Select all
x = 4, y = 4, rule = LifeHistory
2A$2A$.A$3.A!
Can small adjustable spaceships overrun the speed limit of (|x|+|y|)/P = 1?

I'm trying to find stabilizations from these agars. Are they known? Did sombody attempt to stabilize them by bellman? (And by the way, it would be welcome and thankful for anyone to stabilize these.)
I'm currently working on the p55 because I thought that was the most probable one to stabilize. However, I'm a bellman rookie, and am not quite sure when to stop in a fruitless search.
Oh, by the way, most of them are not too hopeful. I think p55, 56, and 36 are the ones that are actually possible. (maybe the p16, and the p24)
