Spark Syntheses

Post by Extrementhusiast » July 15th, 2012, 2:25 pm

There are catalogs of syntheses for standard objects, but what about for sparks? That is what this thread is for. Post any spark syntheses that you know of here, like this one:

Code: Select all

x = 18, y = 7, rule = LifeHistory
15.3A$15.A$16.A$.A$.2A3.A$A.A3.2A$5.A.A!
I know that there is a three-glider synthesis of a theta spark, but I have lost it.

EDIT: Forgot about the particular glider-blinker collision.

EDIT 2: Current collection of spark syntheses with greater than two gliders:

Code: Select all

x = 647, y = 398, rule = LifeHistory

I don't have these syntheses at hand (tho you can frequently observe "in-reaching" sparks in syntheses of more complex objects), but allow me to mention my favorite spark:

Code: Select all

x = 7, y = 3, rule = B3/S23
3ob3o$o5bo$3ob3o!
Also "theta spark"? I only know of the one from glider+blinker as "phi".

Well, I call it a theta spark. You can call it what you will, but at least we're both talking about the same thing here.

That "favorite spark" was actually the BOOM from the Bi-Block Slow Puffer
