I haven't gotten an answer on whether there's a mobile website for LifeWiki. When I try going to it, it shows in desktop mode.

. how many of these contribute regularly by posting rules, patterns and software tools;
. how many simply organize and document known information;
. and how many have moved on to other things because they are no longer interested.

I deleted a few hundred accounts that had no posts and hadn’t logged in for 6 months or more (I.e., spam accounts who had all of their posts deleted).

When I try to open the following link in Firefox, the browser quickly eats all available memory. I do not know if this is an issue with the linked thread, with my system or both, but I was able to reproduce this on another computer.

Edit (unrelated): given that the forum rule 5a recommends to use "code" tags instead of "viewer" tags in most cases, would it be a good idea to change the "Edit post" UI so that the recommended option (i.e. code tags) is more visible and the other option is less visible? (If this is technically implementable at all.) I think this change in the user interface could reduce clutter that occurs when people use the most visible feature (viewer tags for which currently there is a large button that says "viewer") and other people complain about that and tell to use code tags instead (for which currently there is a small button without caption).

It's okay to use "viewer" tags instead of "code" tags occasionally, especially when the topic of the post is an animation displayed by LifeViewer waypoint commands included in the RLE comments -- and especially when the [[ THUMBNAIL ]] command is used to reduce the amount of vertical space taken up by the viewer. But in most cases it's considered polite to let people make their own decisions about whether to invoke LifeViewer, by using predominantly "code" tags.

It seems that many pages in the LifeNews part of the website (URL prefix http://pentadecathlon.com/lifeNews/) are preserved in the Web Archive. However, some images and/or linked files may be missing. In some cases it may be necessary to choose a specific archived version to get images/files. I cannot say anything useful as to what extent any other parts of pentadecathlon.com are available in Web Archive.

Use giffer. There have been quantities of modifications, but I think the most recent ones are Scorbie's Python version or blah's Lua version.
