Thank you! I will do my best not to submission-spam.
Before submission, consider formatting glider guns according to conventions of Dieter and Peter's glider gun collection.

(The gliders should travel to the lower right. The width should be greater than or equal to height. The pattern should be in the last phase before a glider leaves the bounding box.)

The width and height are measured for the bounding-box-across-all-phases-ignoring-output-gliders. An output glider is deleted as soon as (a) it is fully formed and (b) it will never interact with the gun again.

How to use "Tags" when my comment corresponds to another thread ?

For example, I posted in Oscillator Discussion Thread for a general comment.
I just edited the title of my post.
The best thing would be to have a link back to the appropriate topic.

Rule:Tireworld is non-notable. The same holds for many other rulefiles you posted to the wiki:
https://conwaylife.com/w/index.php?targ ... tributions
i have very, very faded memories of, at the very start of my conways game of life career, someone telling me that they upload ruletables all the time. i guess i kind of hard-coded that into myself without knowing if i was allowed to or not. i guess i never checked the notability rules for ruletables.

you can either put the rule table after the pattern, like this:

Either this thread or the "Basic questions" thread seems like a reasonable choice -- Catagolue isn't really the conwaylife.com website, but it's linked to in the header anyway!
(there is no Catagolue support thread, and this seems more right than the one for questions about Life as a CA)

since its first revision, the Period-7 sparkers page has described 37P7.1 as being "used in the smallest period-126 glider gun" with a Catagolue link, but the gun_126 to which it links does not currently use it, is there any means by which one might find the history of a specific gun period's successive reductions without trawling through the Gitlab jobs so that the version that was smallest on December 29, 2021 can be linked to as an xp0 instead?
That concludes my post (I hope you liked it)

Some combination of the following may help:
o Wiki edit history (when the claim was added?)
o Catagolue census backups (which are automatic for b3s23 AFAIK)
o Binary search over Catagolue job logs, once you know the time
o Forum search over gun-related threads, where many former/current record holders are posted

I'm not on Discord, hence I have no idea whether there are relevant places to look through there.

"xp0" links are undocumented/nonstandard, and should be avoided. A better way of giving some specific pattern is to provide the RLE of that pattern. On a wiki page, it is possible to show a pattern in an embedded viewer, with a specific orientation, in a specific phase, with a caption/brief explanation, and with a footnote linking to the source/place to read more.

When done repeately, that essentially prevents any constructive feedback from other people. If one looks for more feedback, the discussion should remain open for other people to read, understand and contribute (whenever they choose to do so).

The question is in the first line.

I don’t see an issue. Seems like the right approach to request further input on a topic (especially if there are only two people involved).
Giving a time period for feedback is also standard practice and I don’t agree with your assertion that this prevents constructive feedback from further people. The topic is persistent so people can chime in at any time in the future if they wish.

That's incorrect. You are linking to your own post, where you claimed (in an edit) something.

As far as I know, rowett didn't [yet] themselves post their current opinion on the issue. Until and unless they choose to publicly communicate their current opinion on the matter, I believe it's incorrect and misleading to claim that they "gave a second moderator opinion". They didn't.

Template:FeaturedArticle. This template displays the current week's featured article (which is usually located on the Main Page). It cycles through 52 pre-selected articles and displays a snippet of the one that corresponds to the current week. What follows is the current featured article's snippet.

I believe the recent large-scale hyperlinking campaign by User:Dvgrn violates LifeWiki:Dispute resolution, by pushing changes (adding links to their preferred page) without consensus for those changes, by ignoring existing disagreement with those changes, and by failing to attempt to understand legitimate objections of others / avoiding meaningful discussion of the matter.

The website-related questions are why someone with technical capability "moderator" fails to respect the ground rules that are supposed to apply to everyone in the local community on this website, and acts in ways that are ultimately detrimental to the local community on this website.

Context for the above:

I've already addressed confocaloid's various complaints above, to the best of my ability, in previous posts. [...]
I disagree. I believe many issues relevant to the topic remain unaddressed.

LifeWiki is different from the forums (different purpose, different content, different target audience). Some relevant issues are consequences of that. Those issues remain unaddressed.

The Life/CA community is larger than just active people on the ConwayLife.com website. People are exploring and discussing CA outside this website. It is counterproductive to reject relevant knowledge merely because it happened to be shared outside these forums. These issues remain unaddressed.

For supporting something said in the wiki, two or three external CA-related sources that discuss the relevant concepts can easily suffice, beating dozens of forum posts with chitchat conversations and vague counterintuitive wording.

As I already wrote, there is currently no observable consensus regarding the changes that you're pushing to the LifeWiki with your recent edits, and there is existing evidence of disagreement with those your changes.

Meanwhile, I've experimentally posted a version of the "green writeup" at Transition (rule definition). This is intended to be the specific definition of "transition", in the sense of "an elementary component of a rulestring or ruletable", that is in current use on a couple dozen LifeWiki pages.
[...]
-- I experimentally linked just the first instance of "transition" in each article to the new "Transition (rule definition)" page (except one, where a link wasn't appropriate). [...]
There is currently no observable consensus for linking those occurrences of the word 'transition' to your proposed "green writeup", among those people who posted something about your "green writeup" specifically.

There is currently also no observable consensus that would support your claim that "an elementary component of a rulestring or ruletable" correctly reflects the intended meaning behind those occurrences of the word 'transition', among people who posted something on this so far.

Further, there is existing evidence of disagreement with your idea to add those links to your "green writeup":
