I don't know if it was reported before, but the close button doesn't work in Chrome on iPad.

Doesn't work on Safari on iPad either. It used to but was kind of fidgety.

Thanks for reporting. Not sure yet how to fix. The close button is just a simple anchor. I may need to add a button to the LifeViewer UI.

I added a close button to the navigation menu. See here for the test case. You may need to refresh your browser on that page to get the latest build.
  • Click on the "Show in Viewer" link on the test page to launch the popup viewer
  • Click the navigation menu button (bottom right) to show the navigation menu
  • Just above the navigation menu button will be a close button 'X'
  • Click the close button to close the popup viewer
This works on Safari and Chrome on the iPhone 6.

I am not planning on releasing LifeViewer as Open Source. If that changes I'll let you know.

Yes you're correct. It's on the backlog to fix. Thanks for reporting!
This has now been fixed and will be in the next released build. Test case is here.

As much as I'm enjoying these circular questions perhaps I can be a little clearer:
  • I am the sole author LifeViewer
  • There has never been an open source version
  • I have no current plans to release the source code
  • If and when that changes I'll announce it on this forum
Thanks for your interest.
