Infinite spaceships that move at C are already known. This one is the simplest:
Code: Select all
x = 2, y = 2, rule = B3/S23:T2,0
2o$o!
Code: Select all
x = 2, y = 2, rule = B3/S23:T2,0
2o$o!
BTW, I'm not sure you noticed, but Nathaniel did set the Trusted flag for your wiki account a few days, so you're good to go.Badmonkey717 wrote:I'm sorry about creating an account for the express purpose of joining. Please lemme in...?
Wow, I can't believe that I hadn't done that yet -- apologies!rowett wrote:Hey Nathaniel please will you add me as a trusted user on LifeWiki?

Are you quite sure? Looking at his single post I'd say this is probably a legitimate new user who's trying to show off an app that he created.Naszvadi wrote:Another possible (oneshot) spambot found: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=530&p=42755#p42596

MediaWiki sort of supports that; there's a bundled extension, but it's not enabled by default.muzik wrote:Is there any way to change my wiki username? I kind of cringe at what I currently have.
That would be difficult to do; MediaWiki has a fairly fine-grained permissions system, but not THAT fine-grained. You either have the right to assign people to groups, or you don't; there's no built-in way to restrict this to certain groups, or to granting group membership only as opposed to also removing it. And you obviously don't want to have people going around promoting (or demoting) administrators at will.Saka wrote:I think trusted users should also be able to promote normal people to trusted too.
Probably because Nathaniel pays attention to this kind of thing in rather unpredictable bursts, and it hasn't been an unprecedented number of months since your request yet. Not to worry -- prepare your notes!Goldtiger997 wrote:There's a particular article in the tutorials section of LifeWiki that I've been wanting and ready to write for a few weeks now (Saka is aware of this), but cannot because I am not yet a trusted user. I've posted on this thread and sent Nathaniel a PM, but he has not made me a trusted user yet. Does anyone know why this might be?
Would it be an idea to discuss (with Nathaniel) the possibility of having a second bureaucrat on the wiki who could act on these requests? Both you, Codeholic and Sokwe are highly-respected, long-time contributors -- I don't think Nathaniel would have any problem promoting any of you.dvgrn wrote:Probably because Nathaniel pays attention to this kind of thing in rather unpredictable bursts, and it hasn't been an unprecedented number of months since your request yet.
