Post by LuxiusGOL » April 22nd, 2020, 1:01 pm

I wanted to try something other than Golly, so I installed MCELL and I tried to fix the message but it never worked. Help?

The solution to your problem, according to Saka, is to run the program as administrator. If the error keeps popping up, I don't know how to help you with your problem.
B2n3-jn/S1c23-y is an interesting rule. It has a replicator, a fake glider, an OMOS and SMOS, a wide variety of oscillators, and some signals. Also this rule is omniperiodic.

LuxiusGOL,

I have Windows XP and Windows 7 installed under Parallels on my IMac. MCell runs correctly on Windows XP but not on Windows 7.

If you have the Java Runtime installed try Square Cell here:

http://bprentice.webenet.net/Square%20C ... 20Cell.zip

It is essentially a rewrite of MCell in Java.

A brief user note:

Mirek's MJCell can be downloaded here:

http://bprentice.webenet.net/MJCell/

and run in the Safari browser or as a standalone desktop application.
