Forum webpage keeps crashing

Post by LaundryPizza03 » February 9th, 2022, 1:03 am

I am unable to post a result at TFYUCA because the most recent page of posts keeps crashing on my browser. I'm using Safari 15.1 on macOS 11.6. It was perfectly functional until I reloaded the page, then I effectively couldn't view it anymore.

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 3, rule = B3-q4z5y/S234k5j

This is an issue with Safari 15 and LifeViewer. It only happens to a select few pages, and I don't know what's causing it. For me, I can view that page just fine, but Accidental Discoveries page 70 triggers it.

Hmm... must be the one I described at viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4742&start=50#p137483. Will Safari update automatically if I update my system to macOS 12.2?

For now, I will be using Chrome exclusively, where this is perfectly functional.

I'm getting a similar problem with viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4881 and some other recent pages.

"A problem repeatedly occurred." Doesn't say what problem, and the Javascript console shows nothing. After a refresh, if I immediately hit Cmd-. and stop the Javascript from loading, I can see the LifeViewer box but there's no link to display the RLE.

This is with Safari 15.2 on a Mac with 11.6.

I believe it's an issue with Safari. Does it work using Chrome on your Mac?

I don't have a Mac to test but I tried on one of the browser test sites on Monterey with Safari 15.3 and that page loaded fine.

I just got a 507 error loading the forum home page. Something about Insufficient Storage. Just thought I'd pass it along in case it's not just me.
