Lifeviewer freezing temporarily

When I cleared everything but this pattern in a large soup, when I try to run it, it freezes for a few seconds, and the generation doesn't advance. I can't show you the soup because I can't go back before I cleared.

Edit: while the pattern is stuck, both the undo and the redo button become grayed out.
Edit 2: If I make the generation tick speed faster, it unfreezes faster.

I'll need more information:

• How big was the soup?
• Had you run the soup for several generations before clearing?
• How did you clear everything apart from this pattern?
• What device were you running LifeViewer on?

Yes, and did some undoing and redoing to find the reaction
I dragged a box(no auto-shrink) over the pattern and clicked the button that clears everything outside of a box
