xs0_contrib has a "glider synthesis".
I have historically worked on conduits, but recently, I've been working on glider syntheses and investigating SnakeLife.

### Re: Catagolue Oddities

This 10-cell still life is consistently misidentified as PATHOLOGICAL.

Code: Select all

``````x = 16, y = 16, rule = R2,C3,M1,S5..5,B4..4,NM
.2A.A.2A.4A.2A\$4A.A.2A.A2.3A\$2A3.A3.2A.2A\$6.2A2.A.A2.A\$2A.A.A3.A.A\$A.
``````

Code: Select all

``````x = 4, y = 3, rule = B3-q4z5y/S234k5j
2b2o\$b2o\$2o!
``````

The rule is R2, but apgsearch's object separation algorithm mistakenly separates the two parts as if it was R1. Then each half becomes a spaceship and apgsearch panics and slaps PATHOLOGICAL over it.
Each day is a hidden opportunity, a frozen waterfall that's waiting to be realised, and one that I'll probably be ignoring

### Re: Catagolue Oddities

Should be known, but WHAT https://catagolue.hatsya.com/object/xq6 ... 4t45s34t57

EDIT by dvgrn: the Catagolue page shows a LTL spaceship with illegal states in it, up to states 10 and 14 (J and N):

Code: Select all

``````x = 12, y = 14, rule = R5,C6,M1,S34..57,B34..45,NM
4.B\$2.B.2FB\$.BF2.2JFB\$B2.J5AF\$B2.2A.5A\$FJ2A2.N5A\$FNA2.BJN4A\$B3AN2J2N3A\$.F2A5N
3A\$.B3A3N4A\$2.9A\$2.8A\$3.7A\$4.4A!``````
But when you run one of the soups in Golly, you get a slightly oblique p6 spaceship, but it runs in a six-state Generations rule, as the "C6" implies:
Code: Select all
``````x = 13, y = 12, rule = R5,C6,M1,S34..57,B34..45,NM
4.5A\$2.DB6A\$.DC8A\$.DB9A\$DC2A2ECB5A\$CBA4EC5A\$2CE2.2ED4A\$DCBA.2E5A\$2DCB
2E4AB\$.2DC2B2ABD\$2.2D3C2D\$3.ED!``````

(sry for dp) Why doesn't catagolue support Range8 bugs?

Because it doesn't support range 7+ rules in general?

True. I found that out later. I’m wondering when apgsearch or catagolue will support those.

I can access catagolue.hatsya.com but apgsearch v5 can't.

puffer fish is a gif: https://catagolue.hatsya.com/object/yl1 ... 523/b38s23
Indeed, and so are the BLSE/GPSE ones, since Catagolue can't generate yl SVGs. The pufferfish GIF is just extremely poorly made.

### Re: Catagolue Oddities

Is this known?
https://catagolue.appspot.com/haul/b3s2 ... 19db83dcb8
This haul has some 'explode' objects which seem to have been a prototype of some sort.
https://catagolue.appspot.com/object/explode_34/b3s23
https://catagolue.appspot.com/haul/b3s23/C1?committed=5
you can find this haul, along with another obviously hacked one and one which produces a schick engine.

I'm guessing this page is for the submissions that were removed from the database.
