Can you mathematically/intellectually visualize CGoL progression/development in your head ?

What if there were no more computers - would CGoL and CA still be an interest ?

I do not think I would have any interest at all if there were no computers.

But what do YOU think ? How would you continue to pursue your interest ?

GOL began on a Go board, not a computer, so I'd say it'll still be an interest.
It'll be impossible to make further developments in CA technology, though. All we could do is optimize algorithms that can't be run.
