The major gridlines shift 3 cells diagonally when icons are turned on. The entire grid also shifts a few pixels away when icons are on.

The cellmap generated from identifier seems to wrap.
Yes there is an issue with the offset square Cell Period Map at the moment. I've disabled it for now (so it will use the square one).

Some grid lines lost when angle != 0
Fixed, thanks!

The major gridline issue should be fixed now. There will be minor differences between icon and cell positioning due to using two different renderers.

When this pattern is Identified, the cell period map shows regions with periods 1, 94, 166, 7802.
On the left side of the cell period map, the label "7802" doesn't fit and extends beyond the grayed background area:

    • [browser window opened to full size:]
      Size 600x560, Scale 1.00, Pixel Ratio 1.00, Window Zoom 0.98
    • [browser window resized to match my usual workflow:]
      Size 600x560, Scale 1.00, Pixel Ratio 1.00, Window Zoom 0.81
    On my end, the label text "7802" doesn't fit in the grayed area, regardless of whether or not the browser window is opened to full size.

    For multistate rules like LifeSuper, when I try to load the pattern, lifeviewer says “Invalid character in pattern: <“

    On my phone, when I try to load a pattern with multistate (try loading the two kingdoms in Start a Colony thread in the sandbox or try to load the world of cgol role play in sandbox) and for some reason it’s an “invalid pattern”. I don’t know if this works on other devices.

    Please be more specific. I have a reasonably generic Android 14 smartphone. I'm able to load the two-kingdoms pattern in my Chrome browser, and run it with no errors.

    What type of phone and what browser are you using?

    Code: Select all

    x = 1, y = 1, rule = B+Univ
    !

    Code: Select all

    x = 1, y = 1, rule = P&T
    !
    Why?

    Maybe bacause their url(https://conwaylife.com/wiki/Rule:B%2BUniv
    https://conwaylife.com/wiki/Rule:P%26T)
    both have "%xx"

    Another bug:
    Change rule to "P%26T" will show "Laoading rule" until you do something(e.g. draw).

    edit:
    but...

    Code: Select all

    x = 1, y = 1, rule = Wire123H+holders
    !
    Maybe something wrong on the second character.

    Yes, there was a pass through LifeWiki rule definitions quite recently (see discussion here) to replace rule names that didn't match Golly's suggested limitations:
    To allow for possible future extensions in the way Golly handles rule names, it's best to use only letters and digits. Hyphens and underscores are also okay if you need some sort of separator.
    It would be best to rename these newly defined "B+Univ" and "P&T" rules so that they don't use special characters in the rule name -- quick, before they get used a lot in pattern posts.
