... Interesting that third and fourth place -- both described as "one of the final two periods in the proof that Life is omniperiodic" -- were just one vote apart, even though multiple people weighted them differently or voted for one but not the other.

Thanks! No discrepancies in the top ten, anyway, except that ninth place is showing up as 74 instead of the script's 75. That doesn't change the ordering, but it will be worth triple-checking that to see if the script went wrong or the count went wrong.

EDIT: I checked the rest of the semi-manual asterisk counts. The engineered-diehards count was the only discrepancy (a mistake with the script's input data, now corrected above -- the correct count was 74).

Looks good -- you agree with confocaloid's count on everything, and the script's count on everything except for #21. The script reported these counts for #21:

It looks like the first "1" was maybe removed in a last-day edit by WhiteHawk. I had fed what I thought was a safe September copy of the votes into the script, but it seems like I must have ended up getting a cached copy of the first page source HTML somehow.

3+2+2+2+3+3+3+2+1+1+2+3+3+2+2+2+3+3+3+1+2+1+2+2+2+3+3+3+3+1+3+3 = 74, and I've been through all 32 posts with a vote for #21 and confirmed that I can see where the script got each one of those numbers from.

Have patched up the above lists with the re-done script count. Looks like we've got a three-way agreement now, and the script still seems to be working well (if it gets the right data).
