The results from searching R2,C2,S4,6-9,B7-9 were much more interesting than the previous rule. On Catagolue, I nicknamed the rule
PotteryLTL, in reference to its large and hollow geometrical still lifes. Fascinating to look at, but very easy to break. Anyways, here are some of the highlights from the searches.
New spaceships. A c/2, 6c/24, and c/4d.
Code:
Select all
x = 30, y = 5, rule = R2,C2,S4,6-9,B7-9

Some juicy new high-period oscillators. From left to right, periods are 11, 12, 18, and 50. The period-50 has an especially wide range of motion.
Code:
Select all
x = 45, y = 41, rule = R2,C2,S4,6-9,B7-9

o!
There have also been a huge number of still lifes, even some pseudo still lifes.
EDIT: Period-34 with similar motion to the p50. This came up during an overnight search.
Code:
Select all
x = 13, y = 13, rule = R2,C2,S4,6-9,B7-9

You can use this and the p50 to make an LCM 850 oscillator.
Code:
Select all
x = 23, y = 24, rule = R2,C2,S4,6-9,B7-9
