I wish there was a 2c/3 orthogonal/diagonal or anything slower than c but faster than c/2 in a rule without b0

I doubt it; I've been getting some 3c/5 partials in B25/S2.

I would like to ask though what you hope this thread to be about. Do you have any criteria for what is a 'cool' rule? Is it just interesting to have a rule where gliders are known to exist but only one happens to be known?

I ask because I'm not sure this is likely to be a characteristic of the rule. It's far more likely that no one has put much effort in to finding other spaceships because there are just so many rules.

Perhaps you'd like to see different spaceships in each of these rules? In that case you might like to update the first post when a spaceship is found with an as yet unknown velocity in that rule.

@Bullet51: Cool, from what I can see that's a new velocity in this rule. It works in B26/S02:B2678/S0278 and seems to be the only other glider known in all of those rules aside from the p2 photon above which also works in all of them.
The 5S project (Smallest Spaceships Supporting Specific Speeds) is now maintained by AforAmpere. The latest collection is hosted on GitHub and contains well over 1,000,000 spaceships.

I'm actually not bothered with off topic posts, they sometimes bring new cool topics (eg velocities between c/2 and c), but yes, I will update the topic post when new gliders are found.

I guess nothing really constitutes as cool, so anything works, but double points if the unique rule has a cool velocity, like 4c/13 or something like that.

I would like to ask though what you hope this thread to be about. Do you have any criteria for what is a 'cool' rule? Is it just interesting to have a rule where gliders are known to exist but only one happens to be known?

I ask because I'm not sure this is likely to be a characteristic of the rule. It's far more likely that no one has put much effort in to finding other spaceships because there are just so many rules.

Perhaps you'd like to see different spaceships in each of these rules? In that case you might like to update the first post when a spaceship is found with an as yet unknown velocity.
I'm actually not bothered with off topic posts, they sometimes bring new cool topics (eg velocities between c/2 and c), but yes, I will update the topic post when new gliders are found.

I guess nothing really constitutes as cool, so anything works, but double points if the unique rule has a cool velocity, like 4c/13 or something like that.
What about customrule tables?
