I want to add a few more rules to rainbow, namely DryLife (B37/S23), move_rep, cb2, B36/S245, and B3457/S4568.

Tried to somehow put in move_rep, but being a bad .rule surgeon, I got an error message of Satan.

(what is this i dont even)


Can someone be as kind as to diagnose this in understandable terms (and also, help me with putting in the other four rules)?

As for your issue, you don't need to add an extra "all" variable if you add an extra state, you only need a total of 9 of them (1 for the "current" cell, and 8 for the neighbors).
