You sure that's a flotilla? The two outermost don't interact with the main two

Their histories are adjacent, however, and to avoid ambiguities and slowdowns Catagolue lumps them together.

In that case, shouldn't
this be considered a single object too?
Or pairs of gliders whose histories overlap, for that matter?
The only difference is that the decompositions dictionary recognizes and separates those. For that reason, this should probably be separated too.

I wasn't making a statement on whether they should or should not, although I believe the latter; I was somply atating Catagolue's hardcoded policy for dealing with these sorts of problems.

That 'flotilla' should indeed be separated into three objects (two MWSSes and an MWSS-on-MWSS).
All apgsearch versions can perfectly separate an arbitrary disjoint union of standard spaceships (as accomplished by the function sss()), but struggles when at least one of the spaceships in the convoy is non-standard.
What do you do with ill crystallographers? Take them to the mono-clinic!

Seriously though, apgmera's symmetry options are pretty cool. Thanks, calcyman. ε><з

This is the same basic structure (2 B-heptominos flanked by LWSS) as the p180 puffer, but the debris puts it in a different orbit or something. Makes sense that it would be similar to Puffer 1.

Congratulations! The p20 engine is the same, but the debris interaction is different, resulting in a different census, and a different period.

Wow, that's nice. It doesn't seem to be in either LifeWiki or the Pentadecathlon.com database, which would make it the second smallest p32 (68 cells) after Gourmet (66).

It does appear in the jslife collection as the first p32 oscillator, so it's at least known.

Cute. Not to mention two more trivial still-lifes, sliding the inducting house up or down 2 spaces.

Did somebody turn the heat way up on the rate of symmetric soup searches? I am seeing literally dozens of new symmetric oscillators being reported now, and that's not even including the pentadecathlon history intersections!

Yes, Calcyman released apgmera v3.2 recently, with support for 14 of 16 symmetries and speeds up to 50% faster than apgnano.
So I have twelve cores running symmetric searches, along with several others.
