Code: Select all

x = 8, y = 7, rule = B3/S23
b2o$o2bo$3bo$3bo$5b2o$5bobo$6b2o!
Also why quadpole-on-ship is more common than the tripole.

I think I know:

Code: Select all

x = 11, y = 10, rule = B3/S23
b2o$o2bo$3bo$3bo$5b2o$5bobo$6b2o$8b2o$8bobo$9b2o!
Also, if B37/S23 and B3/S023 explode, then why is B3678/S0235678 stable?

Maybe the B68/S5678 transitions have something to do with it.

Here's a riddle: why are naturally occuring objects rarer in symmetrical soups?
I was so socially awkward in the past and it will haunt me for the rest of my life.

Code: Select all

b4o25bo$o29bo$b3o3b3o2bob2o2bob2o2bo3bobo$4bobo3bob2o2bob2o2bobo3bobo$
4bobo3bobo5bo5bo3bobo$o3bobo3bobo5bo6b4o$b3o3b3o2bo5bo9bobo$24b4o!

Because symmetrical soups encourage symmetrical objects, as a result reducing asymmetricals.
Also, if B345678/S4678 is stable, then why does B34567/S4678 explode?

Because CA dynamics are strange and not very straightforward at all. Removing a transition does not always result in less explosiveness, norr does adding one add to explosiveness.

Because they are asymmetric
