First off, there are many QOBS. The original is in the rule B3ai4a/S3ai4a5ai6ac7c8, and is this:

Rules with qobs usually expand... a LOT. even if they are stable, they can grow to enormous sizes before stabilizing.

There's a potential family of c/4d objects consisting of a spacefiller core hassled by gliders, like this 5/20d:

I've noticed that the standard QOB rulespace (pB2-a3ai4a5678/S0123ai4ae5ai6ac7c8) is much harder to apgsearch than whitespace, although it becomes somewhat easier if S6c is dropped to eliminate the odd-symmetric version. The even version works in pB1-c2-a3ai4a5678/S0123a4a5ai6a7c8.
