I am aware, but with the above construction, you wouldn't have to delete the blocks and could use it as a signal. Otherwise, with just the puffer by itself, you can't use it as a signal as it would not be considered clean and reusable unless all blocks behind are cleared. Therefore, a way for the puffer engine to, even if trivially, channel through a stream of blocks is a very useful discovery.

@danny: The 4c/141 puffer engine is a great discovery. It just goes to show that even in well explored rules it pays to survey the simple reactions and that there are likely many more gems such is this one to be discovered in the many rules which have been posted in this forum.

I agree entirely with @wildmyron, amazing constructions all around! I know I haven't been very active recently, but this is still my favorite rule, and I love to see new surprises emerge in it.

It's more of a superfountain than a pipsquirter, though, because of how far the spark is from the stator.
Otherwise I don't know.

Sadly, it is not stable on its own, since the collision cannot be spaced closely enough in time to allow unsupported versions. Versions with higher N would require even closer spacings due to the number of ants increasing faster than the period.
