Interleaved url, wiki, and code tags

This is harmless, I know it:

It's bold and italic, despite me closing them.
If I try to close them now, it won't work.
BBCode acts weird in this state.
They only work in pairs.
As for code tags, they need to have content inside them to work.

Looking into that now. It would be nice if active Sandbox topics had their own link separate from regular active topics... I think there's a way to make Sandbox topics not show up in the Active Topics list, but that doesn't leave people who pay attention to the Sandbox with as much information.

Anyway, it seemed like high time to move this thread to the Sandbox, so I've done that.

I feel like this thread has devolved into just sharing various examples of these pagebreakers. An extreme example of this would be an XSS attack, which could exist (though I doubt it). If one happens to be found, then we would have a problem.

There are also non-toxic uses of interleaved tags, such as this use of them to make text bigger than the maximum. Perhaps there more useful things like this.

It's probably fine as long as it's contained within the sandbox.


The problem is that there isn't really much to do with it aside from a few tricks (sakaquotes, post-permanent formatting, nested scrollbars) and then new people come in and rediscover everything.
