That's a great one!
EDIT: I was trying to find a spaceship-family based on the bo$obo! Ship.
This was my first attempt. It failed for the 3rd "overweight" one.
Code: Select all
x = 2, y = 25, rule = B2e3i/S1c2cek
o$bo$o8$o$bo$bo$o7$o$bo$bo$bo$o!
Trying to fix it not only destroys the 2nd one, but also makes it acts as a quadratic replicator instead of spaceship:
Code: Select all
x = 2, y = 25, rule = B2e3i4a/S1c2-an3i
o$bo$o8$o$bo$bo$o7$o$bo$bo$bo$o!
Adding B4t finally solves the overweight problem, but the 2nd spaceship now dies. Adding S2a makes it act as an oscillator(It seems like this rule is quite interesting):
Code: Select all
x = 2, y = 25, rule = B2e3i4at/S1c2-n3i
o$bo$o8$o$bo$bo$o7$o$bo$bo$bo$o!
Add S3n gives a puffer:
Code: Select all
x = 2, y = 25, rule = B2e3i4at/S1c2-n3in
o$bo$o8$o$bo$bo$o7$o$bo$bo$bo$o!
This time an octagon oscillator:
Code: Select all
x = 2, y = 25, rule = B2e3i4at/S1c23in
o$bo$o8$o$bo$bo$o7$o$bo$bo$bo$o!
Finally it raises a result even though it is now wider:
Code: Select all
x = 2, y = 25, rule = B2e3i4at/S1c23cijn
o$bo$o8$o$bo$bo$o7$o$bo$bo$bo$o!
It is still far from infinity family, though:
Code: Select all
x = 2, y = 6, rule = B2e3i4at/S1c23cijn
o$bo$bo$bo$bo$o!
Completed, but now there's a failed Siepinski generator:
Code: Select all
x = 2, y = 36, rule = B2e3i4at/S1c23cijn4a
o$bo$o8$o$bo$bo$o7$o$bo$bo$bo$o6$o$bo$bo$bo$bo$o!
More coming soon.
