(Truth be told I did cut the rotor down slightly from the first solution, and the stator is not excessively big, but both can probably be reduced.)

There are numerous options for the secondary part of the reaction, I just chose the first reasonably small one that worked.

As mentioned previously, p4 looks to be pretty much impossible without some really fancy multiple interaction reaction. And as mentioned on the Unsure Discoveries thread p8 looks to be beyond reach. I haven't tried p7.
The 5S project (Smallest Spaceships Supporting Specific Speeds) is now maintained by AforAmpere. The latest collection is hosted on GitHub and contains well over 1,000,000 spaceships.

A brief report about p4 "rattlesnake"s and block destroying components. (Not sure what to call them...)

This p4 pattern is stabilized by an snake, just like a rattlesnake.

These snake oscillators can remove blocks. They can also support a block being removed.
Combining these two makes a kind of tug-of-war.
I'm pretty sure snake-support <=> block restoration.
But to destroy a block, there are many options.
