I'm proud to announce my lastest search utility, OCAgar, a Python version of Random Agar. It's lacking a lot of features, of course, but it's still in development.

Note: Don't be too happy to see a lot of results - it cannot filter out repetitions. You can't recover the predecessor. Some "agars" may be spaceship streams

It discovered a lot of novel agars in LeapLife. Most importantly it found this p36 agar:

Code: Select all

snip
And this p12 wick:

Code: Select all

snap
if you want to read this check the post out

Here is the source code:

Code: Select all

snarp
(Nothing is here anymore.)

blahblah

Oaky[sic] that's it for now. After I completely overhaul the script I will release it again.

"Oaky" is a meme on Code Golf Stack Exchange, uh... I accidentally made that typo there and got starred. This time it was intentional.

Yes I know, "oaky" just seems to be a general source of discussion. (especially in our ig chat because nobody seems to "noe hou do spel")

Is it really necessary to have a single-character-post just to point that out?

EDIT: To make this post more worthwhile, OCAgar founds two p18 in my 9x9 search but it's really just a superstring:

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 9, rule = B2n3/S23-q:T9,9
3o$2o$o2bo$o$o$o2bo$2o$3o$3o!

I added sphere and cross-surface support to OCAgar without understanding them, Klein Bottles is on the way. Currently I only figured out what exactly is sphere. Basically it's a C4_4 symmetric option. The result file is a quarter of the agar, you'll have to C4_4 symmetrify (should be a link to my Code Golf Stack Exchange challenge but I don't have time) it yourself.

I tried it out, and it rediscovered James' p6 in p_6_40:

Code: Select all

x = 18, y = 18, rule = B2n3/S23-q:S18
4bobo4bobo$5bo6bo3$o16bo$bo14bo$o6b3o7bo$7bo2b2o$6bo4bo$6bo4bo$6b2o2bo
$o7b3o6bo$bo14bo$o16bo3$5bo6bo$4bobo4bobo!
EDIT: And the rotational symmetric p10:

Code: Select all

x = 36, y = 36, rule = B2n3/S23-q:S36
3bobo6bobo6bobo6bobo$12bobo15bobo$13bo17bo$2o15b3o15bo$2bo17bo$2o15b3o
15bo7$o15b3o15b2o$15bo17bo$o15b3o15b2o$4bo17bo$3bobo15bobo$3bobo6bobo
6bobo6bobo$3bobo6bobo6bobo6bobo$12bobo15bobo$13bo17bo$2o15b3o15bo$2bo
17bo$2o15b3o15bo7$o15b3o15b2o$15bo17bo$o15b3o15b2o$4bo17bo$3bobo15bobo
$3bobo6bobo6bobo6bobo!
Didn't yet know what are those cross-surface things, I think I'll know tomorrow.

P. S. I maybe able to use apgsearch in my dad's computer tomorrow. Good news for BokaBB.

Cross-surface is a double Klein bottle, like a torus but both sides are flipped.

Bounded grids
-plane Px,y
-torus Tx+xs,y+ys
-cylinder Tx,0
-klein bottle Kx*+xs,y or Kx,y*+ys (xs or ys is either 0 or 1, 1 only if x or y is even)
-cross-surface Cx,y
-sphere Sx,y
Each day is a hidden opportunity, a frozen waterfall that's waiting to be realised, and one that I'll probably be ignoring
