Could we differ the two Hash2's? Maybe the real hash2 could be called hash2 and the fake one could be hash2.5?

Good question. I think the real Hash2 could be called Hash2 or #2, while the fake one maybe called Hash2f or #2f (Hash2 fake).

EDIT:
(Finally know why need to differ the two Hash2.)
Hash2 and Hash2f don't support each other.

Code: Select all

#C [[ RANDOMIZE RANDFILL 49 RANDWIDTH 256 RANDHEIGHT 256 ]]
x = 1, y = 1, rule = R3,C2,S5-9,B7-9,N#|R3,C2,S4,B5-6,N#

There're nothing expect some p2 emerge from the soup.

The amount of still lifes in Hash2 is too much so I don't include all of them.

(You can also call it Pseudo Hash2.)

I compiled it, but with oscillators too.

Code: Select all

Note that the flotillae are quasi-fiotillae.

A cross can eat a T by causing a cell to birth then kill the cross:

There's no known still lifes in Pseudo Hash2, as contrast of about 47570 in Hash2. I had listed the parts that makes up of most still lifes:

Due to most still lifes being in a family, I had separated the type of still lifes into elementary and composite.
Elementary still lifes are mostly polyoids, while composite still lifes are made of at least 2 parts.

There's only few known oscillators and spaceships in Hash2.

EDIT:
Stripes agar work in Hash2, which probably can increase the still life count from 47570 to infinity:

Note that Hash2's camel is probably the smallest elementary camelship among any HROT rule with 13 cells and 8×8 bounding box.
Hash2F's knightcloud has lower amount of cells than Hash2's camelship, but with larger bounding box.

The c/1 spaceships are all called lineships. The c/3 ones are called T.
The 2 new p2s are called clock and barge.
I still didn't got any name of other oscillators.

Re: Hash (R2,C0,S4-6,B5-6,N#)

Post by haaaaaands »

anyone remembers this still life?

Code: Select all

x = 20, y = 6, rule = R3,C2,S5-9,B7-9,N#
7b3o$6bobobo$6b2ob2o$6bo3bo$7b3o$7b3o!
looks like a face. might call it the face if no one has a better name idea.

if you remove a cell it's still stable:

Code: Select all

x = 5, y = 6, rule = R3,C2,S5-9,B7-9,N#
b3o$obobo$2ob2o$o3bo$b3o$b2o!
and if you remove 2 in such a way that it's still symmetrical, you get a p8:

Code: Select all

x = 5, y = 6, rule = R3,C2,S5-9,B7-9,N#
b3o$obobo$2ob2o$o3bo$b3o$2bo!
(the p8 is already known, i just found a predecessor if it)

edit: idk how didn't i realize earlier that radiator is a phoenix

edit: in alternating hash2 and hash2f i found... YET ANOTHER P2.

Code: Select all

x = 10, y = 13, rule = R3,C2,S5-9,B5-6,N#|R3,C2,S4,B7-9,N#
5$4bo2$2b6o2$5bo!
also it seems another phoenix? weird. these rules make it very easy to find them for some reason.

i doubt this latter oscillator will ever be useful but i like it when i find new stuff

EDIT 3:
Names of spaceship partials maybe useful for naming complete spaceship from them:

Code: Select all

x = 47, y = 29, rule = R2,C2,S4-6,B5-6,N#
42bo2bo$bo2b2o35b2o2b2o$bo3bo15bo2b2obo14bob2o$5bo16b3obo16bob2o$bo2b
o16bo2b2obo15bo2bo$b4o39b2o$43b2o$44b2o$45b2o11$4b3o18b4o$6bo17bobo$b
o3b3o16bo2bo$o6bo17bo2bo$o4bo19b2obo$o$bo4bo18bo$2b2obo17bobobo$3b3o17b
o3bo$23b5o!
1. strip
2. raw copper (due to being like copperhead partial)
3. key
4. honeymover (contains a honeycomb from generation 10-16)
5. Half-knightship
How are these partials? They don't reappear at all.
My 136th post!
136=2^2x17
They may be preturbed to reappear.
They are too rare to reappear

Code: Select all

x=0,y=0,rule=B34q/S23-k
14b3o$13bo3bo$13b2ob2o9$15bo$15bo$b2o12bo12b2o$obo25bobo$o10b3o3b3o10b

Just found some kind of weird still life that's standalone; it belongs to the family that has only two isomers.

Code: Select all

x = 6, y = 5, rule = R3,C2,S5-9,B7-9,N#
b3o$2o2b2o$2o2b2o$2o2b2o$2b3o!
Adding one cell can turn it into an even weirder one:

Code: Select all

x = 6, y = 5, rule = R3,C2,S5-9,B7-9,N#
b3o$2o2b2o$2o2b2o$2o2b2o$2b3o$4bo!
And it's cis variant:

Code: Select all

x = 6, y = 5, rule = R3,C2,S5-9,B7-9,N#
2b3o$2o2b2o$2o2b2o$2o2b2o$2b3o!

Code: Select all

x = 6, y = 5, rule = R3,C2,S5-9,B7-9,N#
2b3o$2o2b2o$2o2b2o$2o2b2o$2b3o$4bo!
EDIT:
Just found this p4 in alternating Hash2 and Hash2f variant:

Code: Select all

x = 3, y = 3, rule = R3,C2,S4,B5-6,N#|R3,C2,S5-9,B7-9,N#
3o2$3o!

works better if you skip to next step

Code: Select all

x = 3, y = 3, rule = R3,C2,S4,B7-9,N#|R3,C2,S5-9,B5-6,N#
3o2$3o!
