Today is the first day of my semester, which is for some reason also a tuesday. Beats me why my semester would start on a Tuesday rather than a Monday.

To be, or not to be, that. Is the question:
Whether. 'Tis nobler in the mind to. Suffer
The slings and arrows. Of outrageous fortune,
Or to take Arms. Against a Sea of. Troubles,
And by opposing. End them: to die, to. Sleep;

Speaking of the WC Fields medal, shouldn't that be awarded for the best mathematics done in the bathroom (or WC)? Mathematician John Nash apparently reinvented the game of Hex when looking at hexagonal bathroom tiles. And of course, Archimedes charged out of the bathtub shouting Eureka! (though I think that was for physics, not pure mathematics). I find myself mentally projecting Life patterns on any square grid, including a square tiled floor.

So sniping aside, it would be a great honor to receive a WC Fields medal.

I wonder what's happened to Pere Hubi, our resident phantopataphysicist. He's been quiet.

(Alfred Jarry comes to mind, since I really wonder if his posts are some kind of absurdist theatrical performance. It would explain a lot.)

Epic phalanx!

Serious question: a gun seems non-trivial, or at least I can't find an insertion that doesn't interfere with a neighboring glider. Maybe somebody else would find it easier.

"Rescue" isn't too likely, I'm afraid. I'd have phrased it more like "tries to notify Hubi and various other people that they all seem to have their heads stuck in an unpleasant whirlpool".
