this is like the worst way to take 2 gliders and put them going off in different directions.

Doesn't this

Code: Select all

x = 12, y = 10, rule = B3/S23
bo8bo$2bo6bo$3o6b3o6$5b2o$5b2o!
work just as well?

Also, some weird spark-coil like action in the centre.

Code: Select all

No, it’s 2 gliders on the same lane, coming from the same direction. They go out in different directions.

Didn’t know what the century evolved into was a century (In Immortalife) — I kept seeing it pop up and I asked:
What is that?
But yeah, that looks like immortalife alright!
Have a reaction you need catalyzed in immortalife?
Make your catalysts blocks.
That’s seriously the only times I’ve had luck making catalysts that don’t eat pi.

But I still haven’t found a way to make the pi an oscillator!

Oh right you were looking for a p58, not a p28
In that case, p58 wick which might help with finding a stabilization:

Code: Select all

Also, this discussion should probably move to the Immortalife thread.

As Ian07 notes, that is thunderbird.
You may want to look over the wiki a good bit to get a sense of what is known and what isn’t.

Thunderbird has been known for awhile... for instance, here’s a really cool p64 thunderbird hassler (discovered by carybe via apgsearch)
