Me: wait isn't this VesselLife?
*sees pattern*
oh wait no
The tubstretcher is known from one of yujh's recent rules though.
EDIT: no offense, but your rule can't really compare with VesselLife, which has three very common speeds and two more rare-but-not-too-rare speeds, not to mention the p92 and a lot of other speeds easily found with spaceship search patterns. Even Leaplife has more common speeds.
Who compared it to VesselLife? Sorry for being Freywa here, but CA, like all kinds of science, is academic and collabrative, and no one should own anything, let alone comparing (Comparison for notability is another matter).
Is it just me or does it seem that [certain people, you know who you are] like to brag about how their rules are better than other rules
I'm not one of them

I'm advertising my alien biospheres thread here because the only other person there is MathAndCode, who unfortunately comes online very late in the day where I live, and I would like to make progress during the day too.

My teachers say that all homework you don't do will cause a negative score in your university exam, but I almost don't care, especially now. I'm thinking of studying linguistics anyway, so what use will almost everything they're teaching us have for me?

Golly, when I press the escape key, I mean stop executing a script, not to freeze up.
Context: I accidentally removed a cell from a pattern before running oscar.lua, then when it got stuck from an escaping glider, I spammed the escape key to stop the script execution, and instead of stopping the script like it was SUPPOSED TO, it just stopped responding.

In triangle ABC, AB=3, BC=4 and AC=5. Circles are drawn centered on A, B and C so that each circle is tangent to the others. A point P is chosen on the circle centered at C. The line between point P and the tangent point of circles B and C intersects circle B at point Q. The line between point Q and the tangent point of circles A and B intersects circle A at point R. What is the maximum possible length of PR?
