Welcome to the forums! You seem to be quite skilled for a newcomer, and I am sure you will make wonderful things if you continue to investigate this field.
I think that the best way to help you at this point is to take the role of an "annoying teacher". Don't think I am trying to belittle you; actually, the truth is the opposite.
fsrm wrote:I made a p2 spaceship (with new components)
As far as I know, p2 spaceships are very easy to find using gfind or something similar (what are you using, by the way?). As such, a single new component is not generally considered notable. You might want to either 1) make a collection of very large number of components or 2) switch to higher periods.
fsrm wrote:I found a p32 agar:
Unfortunately not new.
fsrm wrote:I made a "parabola drawer":
I like the idea, although it is so much better to have patterns that go on forever (such parabola drawers exist, ask for RLE if you are interested).
fsrm wrote:I found a p2 component:
See above.
fsrm wrote:I found without programs this oscillators
These are most certainly known, but I honestly have no idea how you could make them by hand.
fsrm wrote:I made a c/2 B-fuse:
In general, fuses are only interesting if they are either clean (
Blinker fuse) or reburnable (see
Caterpillar).

fsrm wrote:I found a 3465-generation methuselah:
As a rule of thumb, methuselahs aren't interesting.
fsrm wrote:It produces a MWSS at generation 3186, I called it "natural MWSS"
And Ifound this. It produces two MWSSes at generation 57.(lifespan 83)
As of the time of writing, apgsearch has found 1701285153 MWSSs by searching asymmetric soups only, so it is not very notable. There is even a way to manually find a MWSS seed really fast:
- Randomly fill a rectangle that is a million cells wide and two cells high.
- Evolve until you can clearly distinguish slower gliders from faster *WSSs.
- Look at *WSSs until you see an MWSS.
- Remember the x-coordinate of MWSS.
- Undo to generation 0.
- Go to the region with the correct x-coordinate.
- Cut it out.
- Hooray!
fsrm wrote:I found a p32 c/2 smoking ship. It has a V-spark, and can be useful in cleanup.
If it's new, it's interesting.
fsrm wrote:And also, I found this c/2 "almost spaceship" (two extra cells at generation 2)
It looks suspiciously like B-heptomino.
fsrm wrote:I found an engine for lightspeed p4 block puffer (needs p2 supporting sparks):
Nothing can travel at the speed of light in CGoL.
fsrm wrote:It can be also supported by c/2 p4 spaceships,for a p8 block puffer.
How?

Two gliders can be pulled with a c/3 spaceships:
These are so small that they are probably known™.
fsrm wrote:I found a c/5 p1080 glide symmetric puffer:
It is interesting, at least to me. Making two identical flotillas and bouncing something between them to create a glide-symmetric puffer is an old idea, but I have never seen such thing being done without *WSSs. Maybe it's just that nobody tried to use this technique for ships slower that c/4.
Edit: it turns out that c/5 rake in jslife uses this idea.

I am not an expert in this field, but I think it will be very hard to get the Pi there.

fsrm wrote:This eater can be useful?
This is called a "weld". Welds are useful if you are obsessed with small bounding boxes, but we don't keep track of all possible welds and just create one when it is needed.
fsrm wrote:This c/4 spaceship produces weak forward spark. It can be useful?
I don't know. What I know is that it is not new. The usual place where I look for such things is jslife pattern collection, which can be accessed via Golly>Help>Online Archives.
fsrm wrote:I made a growing ship with back period 96, back speed 5c/24:
That old "growing ship is only interesting if its tail is not based on gliders" thing.
fsrm wrote:I made a p12 loaf puffer. Output can burn very dirty with light speed:
Looks nice, although there are probably zillions of such puffers and I can't find a possible use for this one.
Keep discovering and good luck.
