Well in the mean time if I remember correctly you can add a border of dead cells to avoid that problem. :)

With my p19 and p41 Bellman searches underway (see the dedicated Bellman results thread I created for input code), any ideas for the other three periods (p23, p34 and p38)? Feels like a Thorne—Żytkow object to me.

Sorry to announce this. There are exactly zero stabilisations for the p19 and p41 wicks. Now my attention turns to pre-pulsars: we have 11-tick (Bellman One), 14-tick (shuttle 29) and 15-tick (Eureka) hasslers, so why not a 12-tick version? If we combine this hypothetical hassler with the 11-tick one, we'd get a p23 oscillator - epic Rainbow Dash of awesomeness. Again, running Bellman to search for it.
